2012 STATE CONVENTION

In May of 2012, the ASEA State Convention will be held in the Palmer Lodge and our current ASEA President Roland Reiswig has chosen "KIDS ARE OUR FUTURE" as his theme.

We are holding a Convention Logo Design Competition that is open to all elementary and high school students in the Mat-Su Valley.

The theme is "KIDS ARE OUR FUTURE" so please design your logo around this theme and to show the diversity of Youth in the Mat-Su Valley.

COMPETITION MISSION STATEMENT:

Invite student graphic artists in the Mat-Su Valley to design a logo identity for the 2012 ASEA State Convention to be held at Palmer Elks Lodge #1842 in May of 2012.

PARAMETERS:

Open to elementary, middle and high school students who live or study in the Mat-Su Valley. NO ENTRY FEE.

JUDGES:

Entries will be reviewed by the Convention Committee, which will submit their recommendations to the Convention Chairman. The Chairman will choose the winning entry.

GRAND PRIZE:

A $100 cash award and a Certificate of Award from the Palmer Elks Lodge #1842 will be presented to the winner by the Convention Committee at an awards presentation at the Lodge sometime during 2011. The winner may have his/her logo used on the Alaska State Elks Association and Palmer Elks Lodge #1842 websites, stationery, business cards, banners and other promotional materials.

HONORABLE MENTIONS:

All entrants will receive an official thank you letter from the Committee for their efforts. Possible public exhibit of all submitted entries at Palmer Elks Lodge #1842.
